How long does a BioLock padlock battery last and how is it charged?
Most rechargeable BioLock padlocks provide up to six months standby or roughly 2,000-2,500 unlock operations per charge.
Battery life depends on the model, access frequency, Bluetooth activity, temperature and battery age. Current Q1, P50, P70 and C3 specifications typically state up to six months standby, with approximately 2,000 to 2,500 unlock operations per charge.
Charge the lock using the specified USB cable and a standard 5V power source. Recharge promptly after a low-battery warning. A depleted smart padlock normally remains locked for security; use a backup key or emergency USB power according to the model instructions.
